How do you cook perfect steaks?

Beef Steaks Preparation | Where do you buy the steaks?

You can go to almost all supermarkets and they do sell uncooked steaks. For example, Sirloin & Ribeye Steaks (250g), Rump Steaks. I highly recommend the following Tesco Sirloin steak 28 days (Tender & Juicy).

When we say 'steaks' we mean 'Beef' steaks. There are some other steaks such as gammon steaks but they are very salty, like a bacon!

Cooking Time

You can cook your steaks to basically 3 levels: Rare, Medium and Well Done. When you go to pub restaurants, you can ask for Medium Rare (which is between Rare and Medium) or you can say the percentage, something like I want 70% cooked.

If you want to cook at home, you can use your oven (not microwave!). For rare steaks, the searing time per side is 1 to 2 minutes and the resting time is 6 minutes. For medium steaks, the searing time per side is 3 minutes and the resting time is 4 minutes. For 100% cooked steaks, the searing time is 4-5 minutes and the resting time is 1 minutes. It is actually quite similar to the way of cooking bacon.

If you cooked more than 5 minutes, most-likely you will have you steak-over-cooked!

Make Perfect Steaks by Dressing Your Steaks

Some ingredients I personally like to dress the steaks before they go into the oven: some drops of red wine, some white pepper and some olive oil.
And below is a nice steak I had a year ago!

What to do when Steaks are Overcooked?

Throw it away or feed your dogs or cats (just kidding). You can cut off the burning (overcooked) skins of the steaks and enjoy the rest. Afterall, steaks are meat so don't waste it!
